Bergens Forsvarsforening (BFF), founded on 28 June 1888, is the country's second largest local association affiliated with the Norwegian Defence Association and among the oldest and most influential in the country

Bergen Defence Association is proud to support the Liberation Convoy 2025, honouring the legacy of those who fought for Norway’s freedom.

Since its founding in 1888, the association has worked to strengthen public understanding of national defence and security, fostering dialogue between the armed forces and civilian society. Through events, discussions, and collaborations, it plays a key role in promoting awareness of Norway’s strategic challenges, both past and present.

The association values the convoy’s efforts to highlight Norway’s wartime history and the resilience of those who defended the country. Bergen played a significant role during the Second World War and Bergen Defence Association remains committed to preserving this history.

By supporting initiatives that honour veterans, educate future generations and promote national preparedness, the association continues its long-standing tradition of advocating for a strong and secure Norway.
