Per Ola Holm plays a crucial role in The Liberation Convoy 2025 as the skipper of MK Andholmen, a historic vessel dedicated to preserving the legacy of Norwegian wartime efforts.


As a board member of the MK Andholmen Foundation, Per Ola has been instrumental in maintaining and operating this floating museum, ensuring that the heroic stories of World War II resistance in the North Sea remain alive for future generations. His commitment to this mission has been unwavering since 2010, when he first joined as a volunteer and later took on the responsibility of leading Andholmen’s crew.

His participation is deeply personal, driven by his profound respect for the wartime bravery and sacrifices made by those who fought for freedom. Though he has no direct naval or wartime background, his lifelong passion for the sea and maritime history has made him an invaluable figure in preserving Norway’s rich naval heritage.

The entire Andholmen crew shares his dedication, recognising this voyage as a way to honor history and educate both young and old. Per Ola’s leadership, experience, and dedication ensure that the Liberation Convoy 2025 remains a powerful tribute to those who risked everything for liberation.
